I was at the National Emergency Briefing last week Luke and really wanted to ask a question about accountability. As a healthcare professional, I must use the best science to ensure I provide the highest quality care. If I ignore the science and harm occurs, I am accountable. Who is holding those in positions of disruptive / despotic leadership to account for the millions/billions of deaths which will occur through delays to action.
Gaia don't care. Rich and Poor, Fowl and Beast red in tooth and claw, Flower and Tree, Cetacean or Seaweed, She'll loss adjust us all to retain planetary boundaries.
It doesn’t surprise me , I didn’t have much hope unfortunately, but I’m really disappointed they have not dealt with the elephant in the room. The heat will kill millions of people and animals, we’ll be living in a scorched earth .
