BREAKING: COP30 draft deal has scrubbed all reference to fossil fuels

The single largest driver of planetary heating. Removed. Erased. Edited out so a handful of petrostates and their backers can protect the status quo.

This is not diplomacy. This is surrender.

Every scientist in the room knows the cause. Every economist knows the cost. Every child alive today will inherit the bill. Yet the text now pretends coal, oil and gas are somehow negotiable rather than the core of the emergency.

This is what climate action looks like when the arsonists write the fire safety plan.

The communities watching their coastlines vanish deserve better than a document afraid to name what is killing them. Island nations sinking into the Pacific deserve better than theatre. Fishing families watching stocks collapse deserve better than cowardice in a suit.

The oceans cannot absorb another decade of this. Coral reefs cannot wait for the next summit. Coastal cities cannot build walls high enough to hold back what is coming if we keep pretending the problem is too difficult to name.

Fossil fuels are destroying the climate. That is not an opinion. That is physics.

So here is the question every delegate needs to answer before they leave Belém: if you cannot even say the words, how the hell do you plan to solve the problem?!
