I've just finished watching Deep Rising (https://deeprising.com/documentary/) which hit hard. This hits even harder and thanks for educating me Luke, I had no idea this was happening. Will share at some point.

No worries Luke. I've often reflected on the fact that as a healthcare professional of >32 years, I've written a lot of death certificates and I wonder what words I would include if writing one for the planet. The two words which always come to mind are greed and inequality and this documentary consolidated their place in the short list.

How sad the rest of the world is looking for dolphin free meat but these poor sentient beings are being fed to sharks which are essentially brain dead autonomous predators

I hadn’t seen anything about killing dolphins to catch sharks. Gaaacch! That’s horrifying. And even if people were catching sharks with cubes of cucumber, a lot of the large shark species are in trouble too.

Humans are astoundingly self-centered and destructive. No wonder I’m about 90% vegan at this point.

Btw, I can’t become a paid subscriber because money is in short supply for me these days. Thanks for allowing people like me to read your posts anyway! I really appreciate that act of generosity on your part.

This is horrific!! I had no knowledge of this practice. Thank you for shedding a light on this, Luke!
